Outside Territory Sales Manager

KEMP Technologies is a market segment leading manufacture of server load balancing appliances and software.  We are currently building a team of experienced Outside Territory Sales Managers. 

 

Job Description:

 

The individual will be responsible for outside sales and sales management, supporting  the  territory.  The Outside Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales activity within their territory and will have the support of a shared Inside Sales and Sales Engineer.  KEMP is a channel centric organization, therefore the outside sales will be supporting channel partners within their territory, the role will also require a direct touch approach to business development.  In addition to channel partners, KEMP has strategic alliances with several platform providers, therefore the outside sales rep will also be required to interact with strategic platform vendor representatives in their territory.     

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

·         Manage and proactively grow sales revenues  within the assigned territory.

·         Target focused individual and accurate, predictable forecasting.

·         Actively develop strong reseller relationships within the assigned territory to join KEMP’s reseller program.

·         Travel to meet with authorized resellers to build and execute joint business plans

·         Channel plus vendor direct touch “team” approach to winning new business.

·         Participate in local and regional events in support of reseller activities.

·         Create a working relationship with strategic vendor’s representatives in the assigned territory, such as (Microsoft, HP, Dell, etc…)

·         Maintaining reseller/customer data and records as well as keeping track of and updating all activities and sales within the sales CRM.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

·         Working with and supporting inside territory sales representatives towards an assigned sales/revenue goal (quota).

·         Participating in weekly sales meetings

·         Maintaining 30, 60, 90-day forecasts/pipeline reports

·         Maintain weekly schedule/calendar

·         Proactively maintain product knowledge, outside of scheduled training

·         Maintain an open line of communication with territory inside sales representative

·         Time management – every activity has a purpose

·         Control and maintain expenses

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

·         Proven outside channel sales and direct touch experience within the high-tech industry; computing network products is an added plus. 

·         Proven record of quota obtainment.

·         Proven working experience working with Channels such as; resellers, VARs, integrators, consultants, etc… , in the assigned territory.  With existing channel contacts within the assigned territory.

·         Possess excellent customer service skills and organizational skills.

·         Proposal writing and presentation ability. 

·         Detail oriented and provide accurate information.

·         Proficient with computer and possess good computer and keyboard skills. (Excel, Outlook, Office - a must).

·         Experience in working with a sales CRM.

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet the deadlines and be able to work independently when required.

·         Team player able to deal with complex tasks.

·         Confident, energetic and organized.

·         Good negotiating skills and must be polite.

Salary

Salary dependent on experience, fixed plus variable commission (uncapped)
