LoadMaster and "Extended Daylight Savings Time"

As you may know, as a result of change in US law (the Energy Policy Act of 2005), observance of Daylight Savings Time in the US has changed for 2007.

KEMP Technologies is aware of the DST issue.  Version 3.1 firmware, currently shipping on all LoadMasters, does NOT reflect the new US regulations.  The sole operational consequence is that the timestamps on the error log entries will be displaced by an hour until early April, when things will once again be correct. For ALL LoadMasters there is NO dependency on any specific local timezone issue for all traffic to flow through a LoadMaster correctly.

For our HA customers, while it is true that the HA subsystem does depend on UTC time for proper synchronization of the two LoadMaster appliances, changes in DST offsets have NO impact on this function. Subsequent versions of our firmware will have proper provisions for the change in law, so there will be no issue with subsequent time offset changes in the US.
