Exchange 2010 Layer 4/7 Virtual Load Balancer

The LoadMaster VLMExchange (VLM-Exchange) is an advanced, Layer 4/7 Load Balancing virtual appliance, purpose-built for Microsoft Exchange 2010. The VLM-Exchange is designed to address high-availability and scalability demands of Microsoft Exchange 2010 deployments. To simplify installation, the VLM-Exchange is optimized for the most commonly deployed Exchange 2010 server roles, providing instant redundancy and high-availability for client access server (CAS) and other critical Exchange 2010 services.

The LM-Exchange supports up to 6 physical and 13 virtual servers.

The VLM-Exchange comes pre-configured with 4 virtual services supporting RPC Client Access (MAPI), SMTP, as well as SSL-encrypted services such as Outlook Web Access, Outlook Anywhere and ActiveSync. VLM-Exchange includes all the key functionality that the typical Exchange 2010 deployment will require, including distribution of traffic load, CAS server affinity (persistence), SSL offload and application service and server hardware health checking with automatic failover upon detection of outages.

Virtual LoadMaster installs and runs as a hardened, 'Guest' operating OS/Application on a dedicated virtual machine. It provides the same ADC features of the LM-Exchange appliance including L4 load balancing, L7 content switching, SSL Offload, Server and Application Health Checking, IP and L7 Persistence, Caching, Compression and much more. It also supports stateful Active/Hot-standby configuration between two VLMs for redundancy and high-availability. All controlled by the same intuitive, easy-to-use Web User interface as the hardware appliance version of the LoadMaster.
